Presentation Peer Evaluation

Due: Collected at the end of each class session (Monday Apr 20 and Wednesday Apr 22) Points: 25 Format: Printed evaluation sheets, handed in at the front of the room

Overview

You evaluate the presentations you see during class on Monday and Wednesday. On Monday, you evaluate the other presentations in your group and vote for the best. On Wednesday, you evaluate the 5 group winners and vote for the overall best.

Hand in your completed evaluation sheet at the front of the room before leaving class each day. Print the evaluation sheet or pick one up in class.

What You Evaluate

Monday (group presentations): 4 evaluations (everyone in your group except yourself) Wednesday (winner presentations): 5 evaluations (all group winners) Total: 9 evaluations + 2 votes (group vote Monday, class vote Wednesday)

Score	Meaning
5	Excellent — one of the best presentations I have seen in this class
4	Good — professional, clear, and engaging
3	Satisfactory — gets the message across with some rough spots
2	Below average — hard to follow or missing key elements
1	Poor — unprepared or unclear

Attendance and Participation (5 points)

Tips

Take notes during each presentation. A few keywords per talk prevents generic feedback later.
Score before you write. Assign the 1-5 scores first, then justify with your written feedback.
Be specific. “The architecture diagram on slide 3 made the system clear” is better than “good slides.”
Be constructive. Suggestions help more than complaints.
Differentiate. If every presentation gets a 4 with the same feedback, your evaluation will score low.

Important Notes

Do not evaluate your own presentation.
You must attend both Monday and Wednesday to earn full attendance points.
Your evaluations are visible only to the instructor, not to the presenters.
Your score is based on the quality of your evaluations, not on the scores you give others.
